TO OUR PATIENTS AND THOSE IN NEED OF ESSENTIAL HEALTH CARE SERVICES:
LOVA Health is taking the COVID-19 health crisis seriously, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to help our patients and our communities stay healthy.
While we are doing our part to help mitigate the risks associated with the virus, our clinic remains open to provide essential health care services to healthcare workers, first responders, childcare service providers, infrastructure and public works employees, and other essential members of our workforce who require immediate in-clinic attention. Our primary goal is to keep essential workers moving and to reduce as much of the strain as possible on the hospital system.
If you have any questions about the impact of COVID-19 on your treatment plan, wish to inquire about treatment availability at our clinic or remote treatment options, or if you need to reschedule your appointment, please call our office at (314)529-1941. We are here to help.
More information about the COVID-19 can be found on the CDC website.
WHAT WE’RE DOING TO KEEP OUR PATIENTS AND STAFF HEALTHY AND SAFE
Please know that the health and safety of our community is not only our top priority, but it has always been an essential part of our Mission. We are committed to our patients’ health and we want to educate you concerning tangible and proactive steps we are taking to not only get patients out of pain, but do so in a manner that adheres to best practices from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), local authorities, and other experts.
KEEPING PATIENTS AND STAFF SAFE DURING IN-OFFICE CARE
Wherever it is safe to do so, our office will remain open to help reduce the strain on the hospital system and assist those whose essential job functions may be impacted by musculoskeletal injuries. To keep everyone safe, we are taking all the necessary precautions.
First, from the perspective of ensuring sanitary and thoroughly disinfected treatment areas, please note the following:
• We use medical grade cleaners and disinfectants between each and every patient.
• Any and all linens or towels are disposed of or sanitized after every use.
• Treatment tables are disinfected thoroughly between each and every patient.
• Active care equipment, tablets, and all surfaces in the treatment rooms are disinfected after each patient.
• Team members are washing their hands with soap and water between each patient.
• We are happy to clean any items again in front of the patient at the patient’s request.
Additionally, the CDC recently issued a recommendation for the wearing of face protection: “CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.” All LOVA Health treatment members are following this to protect our staff and patients. We are encouraging patients to wear face protection as well to each appointment.
We also encourage our patients and others to follow some simple additional guidelines from the CDC, which serve as helpful tips:
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
• If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then immediately throw it away.
• Avoid contact with people who are sick.
As an additional safeguard, we are connecting with each patient prior to their appointment to confirm they are not sick, have not been exposed to any circumstances that would warrant self-quarantine, and are aware they should not bring any unnecessary family or friends to our offices.
We are happy to help you reschedule any upcoming appointments if you feel sick, or if you have a fever or cough. In that circumstance, and especially if you have a fever of 100 degrees or higher and/or believe you may have been exposed to coronavirus, please always (and as a first priority) contact your primary care physician for direct help and treatment options before you visit us at LOVA Health.
ENSURING THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF OUR LOVA HEALTH FAMILY
PROVIDING SAFE AND EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT OPTIONS
During these uncharted times, we have been working to develop solutions that allow us to still help those in pain, while keeping the community safe. We are now offering telehealth options for patients to connect to providers and begin a virtual treatment plan. This allows everyone to adhere to social distancing while we continue to help our patients.
